Für Castell, der ab 1829 von Christian Clausen Dahl zum Landschaftsmaler ausgebildet wurde, galten die heimatlichen Gefilde um Dresden stets als bevorzugte Motive für seine Gemälde und Zeichnungen. – Der Bleistift insgesamt leicht verwischt; umlaufend schwach lichtrandig.
