Description
Charles M. Schulz (1922-2000) wurde weltweit bekannt für seine Comicserie “The Peanuts”, dessen Stars Charly Brown und sein Hund Snoopy sind. 1975 lernte er das Künstlerpaar Christo und Jeanne-Claude bei einer kleinen Diskussionsrunde über deren “Valley Curtain Projekt” in Colorado kennen.
Das Kunstverständnis der beiden inspirierte ihn 1978 zu einer Comic-Sequenz der Peanuts: Angeregt durch den “Valley Curtain” fragt sich Snoopy, was Christo wohl als nächstes machen wird und findet daraufhin sein Haus verpackt. Dieses Comic-Bild aus den späten 70ger Jahren setzte Christo 2003 für das Charles M. Schulz Museum in die Realität um.
Verso mit dem Stempel der Landfall Press Inc. und dem Stempel “COPYRIGHT 2006, CHRISTO, 1589 SAN MATEO LN, SANTA FE NM 87506”. Am unteren rechten Rand mit minimalen Handhabungsspuren, sonst in einem sehr guten Zustand.
Beiliegt: Comicstreifen “Wrapped Snoopy House”, 1978. Ca. 19 : 4,5 cm (Blattgröße ca. 20,5 : 30,5 cm).
