Description
Detailgenaue und sehr ansprechende Studie der Burgkirche von Ringgenberg, die wild romantisch über dem Brienzer See liegt.
Die im Mittelalter errichtete, kleine Burganlage wurde in der Barockzeit zur Burgkirche umgebaut. Die Arbeit ist wohl im September oder Oktober 1815 enstanden, als Salathé gemeinsam mit Samuel Birmann und Jakob Christoph Bischoff kurz vor dem eigentlichen Aufbruch nach Italien das Berner Oberland bereiste. Mit wenigen Fleckchen und minimalen Bereibungen. Verso mit Resten und Spuren früherer Montage. Sonst gut erhalten und von sehr schönem Gesamteindruck.
