Description
Werke dieses Künstlers erscheinen sehr selten auf dem internationalen Auktionsmarkt, da Nida-Rümelin kaum für den Kunsthandel, sondern zumeist für öffentliche und private Auftraggeber arbeitete. Er sah die Aufgabe, seine Arbeiten innerhalb der Rahmenbedingungen dieser Aufträge auszuführen, als eine Inspiration und Herausforderung. Die öffentliche Arbeit “Lesende Schüler” von 1961, heute vor der Torquato Tasso Volksschule in München, führte zu weiteren Plastiken lesender Figuren. Die zweite Version des “Lesenden Mädchens” zeigt die charakteristisch schlanke, fast androgyne Figur in ihre Lektüre vertieft, diesmal mit auf die Knie aufgestützten Armen. In gutem Zustand.
