Description
In flüssigem Strich ausgeführte Komposition des Historien- und Porträtmalers, die während seines Italienaufenthaltes entstand. Drölling erhielt seine Ausbildung zunächst durch den Vater, seit 1806 durch J.L. David. Er erhielt 1810 den Rompreis mit dem Bild “Der Zorn des Achilles” woraufhin er bis 1816 an die Villa Medici nach Italien ging. 1817 debütierte Drölling im Salon in Paris. Vereinzelt im Rand leicht braunfleckig, verso in Bleistift von fremder Hand bezeichnet sowie mit Resten von alter Montage, ansonsten in gutem Zustand.
