Locker erfasste Komposition. Verso von alter Hand mit “Ruisdael” bezeichnet. In der Wiedergabe von Mauerwerk, Vegetation und Wasser finden sich Vergleichbarkeiten zu der Auffassungsgabe von Jacob van Ruisdael, siehe z. B. die “Turmruine” in Hamburg (W. Bernt 1957, II, Nr. 504), die “Ruine von Schloss Egmond”, Auktion Heseltine-Richter, Amsterdam (F. Muller), 27./28.5.1913, Nr. 189, Tafel 29. Gleichmäßig leicht stockfleckig, ansonsten altersgemäß gut erhalten.
