Ausgebildet von seinem Vater Jean Crepy, übertraf er ihn bald als Kupferstecher. Louis stach mit Erfolg verschiedene Motive von Watteau. Auch hier hat er die klare Linien der Watteau’schen Arabesquen wunderbar eingefangen. An den Rändern leicht gebräunt. Mit Handhabungsspuren, doch in allgemein sehr gutem Zustand.
