Deeply influenced by the French Barbizon school, Adolf Lier was one of the first Munich painters who turned towards the naturalistic stile. His paintings depict the surrounding areas of Munich in an intimate manner.
Description
Beeinflusst von der Barbizon-Schule widmete sich Lier nach seinem Frankreichaufent hat bevorzugt Motiven aus der Umgebung Münchens. Wie bei vorliegendem Werk nachvollziehbar wird, entstanden dabei sehr intime Landschaftsdarstellungen mit sparsamer, aber dennoch sehr liebevoll gesetzter Figurenstaffage. Das Augenmerk liegt dabei auf einer atmosphärisch-naturalistischen Wiedergabe, wodurch eine charakteristische Grundstimmung entsteht. Durchgehend leichte Krakeleebildung und mit minimalen Bereibungen am Randbereich. Mit vereinzelten Retuschen. Doubliert.
