Description
Trotz des kleinen Formats repräsentative, bildmäßig durchkomponierte Zeichnung, wohl entstanden während der Reisen des Künstlers in die Schweiz gegen Mitte der fünfziger Jahre (Vgl. Gustav Solar, Jan Hackaert, die Schweizer Ansichten 1653 – 1656, Zürich 1981). Durch die bildparallele Gliederung im Vorder- und Mittelgrund gewinnt die Darstellung meditative Ruhe, passend zur Haltung des Wanderers, während der diagonale Verlauf des Hintergrunds der Komposition Tiefe verleiht. Mit Einfassungslinie in Braun. Minimal fleckig. An vier Ecken auf die Unterlage montiert.
