Description
Charakteristische Zeichnung des Flamen, der seit Anfang des 17. Jahrhunderts in Italien lebte und dort zahlreiche Veduten schuf. Häufig unterstützte er die Tiefenwirkung, wie im vorliegenden Blatt, durch dunklere, silhouettenartige Vordergrundpartien. Vgl. W. Bernt, Die niederländischen Zeichner des 17. Jahrhunderts, Nr. 444.
