Description
In flüssigem Duktus, sicher komponierte Darstellung. Johann Georg Knappich, über dessen Lehrzeit nichts bekannt ist, ist seit 1653 als Malergeselle in Augsburg nachweisbar. 1660 heiratete er und erwarb das Augsburger Bürgerrecht. Stilistisch steht Knappich Johann Heinrich Schönfeld nahe, dessen Einfluss auch in vorliegender Zeichnung zu erkennen ist.
