Description
Entwurf für den Buchumschlag des Gedichtbands “Palmström” von Christian Morgenstern, erstmals erschienen 1910. Die Arbeit geschah im Auftrag des Münchner Verlegers Hans Goltz, der seine so genannten “Künstler-Goltz-Bände” annoncierte: “Einbände wertvoller Bücher mit handgemaltem Titel (…). Von jedem Werk nur 20 bis 30 Stück nach dem selben Entwurfe”. (Wolfgang Storch: Georg Schrimpf und Maria Uhden, Leben und Werk. Berlin 1985, S. 78). Einwandfrei erhalten.
