Enrico Castellani

one of Italy’s most influential artists. The painter is associated with the Zero art movement and Azimuth. Castellani strongly contributed to the development of avant-garde art in Europe in the 1950s and 1960s. He influenced many other contemporary artists, such as Donald Judd, who saw him as the father of minimalism. Castellani has exhibited at the most renowned institutions in the world including the MoMA and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and the Stedelijk Museum, in Amsterdam.
