Das Plakat wirbt für einen “Vom Bewußtsein der Gesichte” bzw. “Von der Natur der Gesichte” betitelten Vortrag, in dem Kokoschka bekenntnishaft die Grundzüge seiner bildnerischen und didaktischen Konzeption darlegte.
Kokoschka widmet dieses Plakat der Malerin und Schriftstellerin Juanita Wasel von Waldingau (1897-1975).
