Descrizione
A fine, early impression. With a fine margin around the framing line. Winzinger considers this engraving to be one of the artist’s most outstanding works, “this work, in which man and nature merge into an indissoluble unity, to be one of Altdorfer’s greatest masterpieces”. – The upper margin set, with pen retouching there. Smoothed creases verso, with minor traces of use, otherwise a fine copy. Rare!
