CROSSOVER exhibition with Michael Bauch | Opening on 3 November 2021, 6 pm (CET)

As part of our preview of the autumn auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art, we will be showing new works by Michael Bauch in our Hamburg dependence

In his paintings Michael Bauch (*1951 in Wiesbaden, lives and works in Hamburg) unites analytical research and dynamic image seeking. In series he develops the framework of a painterly investigation in which form and color accentuate each other. His lenghty research is based on gestural forms, a clearly defined repertoire and follows often the guidelines of the material. In Bauch’s paintings history resists the tone of connoisseur-like referentialism, but seeks rather an imprint of the history of the gaze.

In cooperation with Galerie Karin Guenther

Vernissage: Wednesday, 3 November, 6 – 9 pm

Duration: Thursday, 4 November, 12 pm – 6 pm and Friday, 5 November, 12 pm – 5 pm
