Where is Karl & Faber located?

Karl und Faber is located in the Luitpoldblock in the heart of Munich city centre, not far from Odeonsplatz. How to find us.
You are also welcome to make an appointment with our representatives in Hamburg, the Rhineland, Lake Tegernsee, Austria or Switzerland!

What are the opening hours?

We are there for you Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm!

Where can I park?

Parking is available in the Salvatorplatz car park directly behind our office. We will pay the parking fee for the first hour for you.

What will be offered in the auctions?

We exclusively auction art: paintings, drawings, graphics, sculptures and objects of the Old Masters, 19th century art, Modern Art, Post War and Contemporary Positions.

When and where can I view artworks in preview?

The previews begin approximately three weeks before the respective auction. Dates and addresses can be found here.

I am interested in an artwork. How can I buy it?

We offer you various possibilities to purchase a work of art from us.

Can I have my artwork estimated non-binding?

You can come to us at any time for a non-binding and free estimate. It is best to make an appointment in advance with our experts or representatives. There is also the possibility to make an online estimate request.

What is needed for an initial estimation? The artwork itself or is a photo sufficient?

You are welcome to make an initial estimate request online. We would be happy to take a look at the original if possible. For larger or difficult transportable works, a photo is of course sufficient. Our experts are also happy to visit you at home. Simply make an appointment with us.

How long does it take to process an estimate request?

Our experts will get in touch with you as soon as we receive your request.

My artwork was auctioned off. When will I receive the proceeds?

Within five weeks you will receive the invoice and the payment of your auction proceeds, provided that the bidders have paid their invoice.
We look forward to working for you and accompanying you to the international art market.

I auctioned a work of art - when and how do I have to pay for it?

As soon as a work is awarded to you, you can pay for it. Either directly or upon receipt of the invoice.

When can works be collected?

Buyer: after receipt of payment.
Seller: after termination of the aftersale.

Can I only attend the auction as a spectator?

Of course you are also very welcome as a spectator. Create a My Karl&Faber profile to be informed about our auctions and events!
