Der österreichische Rokokomaler Josef Anton Zoller ist mit seinen Fresken in den Kirchen Tirols bekannt geworden. Frühe signierte Arbeiten sind überaus rar. Diese kleine Ölskizze von 1758 dürfte die früheste überlieferte, völlig eigenständige Arbeit des Künstlers sein, der in seinem Frühwerk eng mit seinem Vater Anton Zoller zusammenarbeitete.
