Description
Die vorliegende Zeichnung einer jungen Frau mit nacktem Jungen auf ihrem Schoss entsteht in Berlin zum großformatigen Gemälde “Jugend des Zeus” (Berend/Corinth 305, ca. 120 x 150 cm, 1905/06, Kunsthalle Bremen). Corinth fokussiert sich in unserem Blatt auf die mittlere Figur des Gemäldes. Die Mutter versucht den blonden Jungen mit dem Finger im Mund zu beruhigen. Die Bildidee entstand, als Corinth seinen kleinen Sohn Thomas schlafend und nacktgestrampelt in seinem Bett liegen sah.
