Description
Der Sammler Heinrich II Neuerburg (1883 Trier – 1956 Garmisch-Partenkirchen) stammt aus der Zigarettenfabrik Haus Neuerburg, die u.a. Firmensitze in Trier, Köln, Hamburg und Dresden hatte.
Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg beginnt er eine bedeutende Sammlung klassischer moderner Druckgraphik aufzubauen. In der Kunstsammlung von Heinrich Neuerburg befanden sich u.a. Werke von Erich Heckel, Wassily Kandinsky, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Paul Klee, Franz Marc, Otto Mueller, Hermann Max Pechstein, Egon Schiele und Karl Schmidt-Rottluff.
