Description
Nach dem Ende seines Studiums an der Dresdner Akademie zieht Grosz 1912 nach Berlin, wo er an der Kunstgewerbeschule Schüler Emil Orliks wird. Das Nachtleben der Metropole zieht ihn schnell in seinen Bann. Dabei benutzt er für seine zahlreichen Darstellungen aus der Welt von Zirkus, Varieté und Bordell meist, wie hier, einen weichen, flexiblen Federstrich, der die Dargestellten liebevoll umreisst.
