Description
Zwei Pferde preschen mit ihren Reitern durch die Puszta. Durch den sehr niedrigen Horizont nimmt den größten Teil der Ölskizze der wolkenverhangene Himmel ein, dessen kontrastreiche Lichtführung von Hell und Dunkel ein herannahendes Gewitter ankündigt. Bei Nüdling ist eine sehr ähnliche Ansicht der ungarischen Steppe verzeichnet, ebenso eine Wiedergabe desselben Themas mit unbekanntem Verbleib (vgl. Kat.-Nr. 312 und 313).
