Description

Ab den 1970er Jahren erweitert sich das thematische Spektrum von Günther Uecker. In den zurückliegenden Jahren der ZERO-Bewegung ging es vorrangig um einen Neuanfang in formal-ästhetischer Sicht und um die Wirkkraft physikalisch-optischer Phänomene. Nun bekommt der symbolische Gehalt des Nagels einen Platz in Ueckers Werk. Mit seinen “Bäumen” und “Wäldern” greift er das Thema der Verletzlichkeit von Mensch und Natur auf.
