Josef Eberz, der bis 1912 Meisterschüler von Adolf Hölzel war, zählt ab 1919 zu den Mitgliedern der Darmstädter Sezession. Später gehört er der Münchner Neuen Sezession an und erhält während der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus Malverbot und gilt als entartet. Im vorliegenden Blumenarrangement fokussiert sich Eberz ganz auf die Kraft und Farbigkeit der Blüten und Blätter und stellt die räumliche Begebenheit fast in den Hintergrund.
