Description

Michael Pantazzi, National Gallery of Canada, bestätigte freundlicherweise die Zuschreibung und verortete die Zeichnung. Die Komposition ist vergleichbar mit einer Ölskizze (Robaut 551), die 1983 versteigert wurde (siehe Verkaufskatalog “Sotheby’s Parke Bernet, 19th century European Paintings, London, 22.11.1983, Lot 39”). Verso mit einer zarten Landschaftsstudie in Bleistift. – An den Kanten minimal nachgedunkelt. In der rechten unteren Ecke mit einer Knickspur. Verso Spuren und Reste von ehemaliger Montierung, ansonsten gut erhalten.
