Description
Die stehende Muttergottes hält das Jesuskind auf dem linken Arm, welches in verdrehter Körperhaltung dargestellt ist, in der linken Hand einen Apfel haltend. Die Gruppe lässt sich vergleichen mit der im Rijksmuseum befindlichen Elfenbeingruppe einer apokalyptischen Madonna mit Kind auf der Mondsichel, welche Matthieu van Beveren (1630-1690) zugeschrieben wird (Inv. Nr. BK-1962-5). Besonders der Gesichtstypus und das bewegte Faltenspiel des bodenlangen Umhangs weisen große Ähnlichkeiten auf. – Bestoßungen mit geringen Verlusten, ansonsten in guter Erhaltung.
