Description
Franz Joseph Stöber wurde während seiner künstlerischen Laufbahn durch seinen Onkel, den Abt Landelin Fluem, sehr gefördert. Dieser Entwurf könnte für eine Klosterkirche der Straßburger Benediktinerkongregation bestimmt gewesen sein. Stöber hatte mehrfach in Klöstern dieser ehemaligen Kongreation gemalt. Viele dieser Klöster wurden jedoch später zerstört, lediglich in der Stadtkirche Ettenheims finden sich noch Deckengemälde Stöbers im Chorraum.
