Drypoint etching on wove. (1923). C. 19.5 x 39.5 cm (sheet size c. 37.5 x 53.5 cm). Presumably one of just a few trial proofs aside from the edition of 60. Signed lower right, titled and inscribed “Probedruck” lower left. With an unidentified collector’s stamp S in a square lower right (not listed in Lugt). Published by Verlag R. Piper & Co., Munich, 1923.

Description

Unbekannter Sammlerstempel “S im Quadrat” unten rechts (nicht bei Lugt). Herausgegeben vom Verlag R. Piper & Co., München, 1923. Der Druck stellt sehr wahrscheinlich die ursprüngliche Version des Gemäldes “Siesta” (Göpel 353) dar, das aus dem Jahr 1924 stammt, aber 1931 überarbeitet wurde. – Minimal lichtrandig, vereinzelte kleine Einrisschen, oben kleine Papierverluste und leichtes Wasserrändchen, leichte Knickspuren und Griffknicke, insgesamt gut.
