Complete set with Frontispiece, dedication sheet with a view and 21 sheets with views of Venice. Etchings on laid paper, some watermarked with a crowned coat of arms inscribed “F.V.” (cf. Bromberg, Canaletto Wz. 24). (1741). Each c. 45.8 x 61 cm (sheet size). Bound in a blind embossed calfskin leather cover.

Description

Hervorragende, kräftige Frühdrucke der kompletten Folge im seltenen ersten Zustand, vor der Nummer und der Adresse von Pedrali. Jeweils mit dem vollen Rand. Es gibt nur ausgesprochen wenig zeitgenössische Drucke, da der frühe Tod des Künstlers die Herausgabe des kompletten Werkes verhinderte. Kleinere Erhaltungsmängel im Rand, dort einige Blätter mit einem Einriss. Ansonsten sehr schönes Exemplar. Äußerst selten!
