Description
Hervorragender, in Signatur und Datum kaum auslassender Druck dieses seltenen Blattes, dessen Platte früh verloren ging. Mit einem schönen Rändchen um die Einfassungslinie und leichtem Plattenton gedruckt.
Bei dem Dargestellten handelt es sich unter Umständen um Samuel Smitjers, den 1644 verstorbenen Buchhändler und Kunstsammler, dem Rembrandt auf den Auktionen in Amsterdam in den 1630er Jahren begegnet sein könnte. – Papier minimal nachgedunkelt. Verso in den oberen Ecken mit alten Montierungsresten, sonst gut erhalten.
