Description

Mit kühnem, kantigen Strich und flackernden Lichteffekten rasch hingeworfener Entwurf des Carl Loth-Schülers zu einer von ihm als autonomes Skizzenbild ausgeführten Zeichnung in der Albertina. Das Blatt entstand auf dem Höhepunkt seiner römischen Zeit und ist stilistisch eng verwandt mit einer am 27. Mai 2011 bei Bassenge (Los 6264) versteigerten Zeichnung sowie mit Blättern in Basel, Darmstadt und Düsseldorf (Kunze 5, 16, 24). – Rechte obere und linke untere Ecke sowie kleine Fehlstelle am Oberrand links fachmännisch ergänzt, ansonsten in altersgemäß gutem Zustand.
