Description
Blatt XII aus der Folge: Carceri. Hervorragender, kräftiger und gegensatzreicher Druck, mit einem breiten Rand um die gut sichtbare Plattenkante und der Nummer oben rechts. Mit den Spitzen auf dem Sägebock sowie auf dem Pfahl unten rechts sowie mit dem hinzugefügten “C” vor “Piranesi f.” unten links. Erschienen in der zweiten Edition, vierte bzw. fünfte Auflage um 1770 bis circa 1835. – Geglätteter Mittelfalz, Papier leicht angeschmutzt. Oben mittig mit einer druckbedingten vertikalen Quetschfalte. Im Rand kleinere Mängel. Verso an der oberen Kante mit Montagespuren. Insgesamt gut erhalten.
