Description
Calame, einer der profiliertesten Landschaftsmaler der Schweiz im 19. Jahrhundert, hatte seinen Stil in der Auseinandersetzung mit führenden Tendenzen in der französischen Malerei entwickelt. Er war der “Maler der Gipfel”, spezialisiert auf Hochgebirgsansichten, oft mit Wasserläufen.
