Ansicht von Rocca San Stefano
Description
Wentzel hielt sich seit 1828 in Rom auf; von dort machte er Reisen nach Neapel, Sizilien und in die Umgebung von Rom. Auf einer dieser Exkursionen ist 1830 die Ansicht des eindrucksvoll auf dem Berg thronenden Rocca San Stefano entstanden. Nagler erwähnt eine Zeichnung mit dem gleichen Motiv, nach der eine Lithographie von Ludwig Michael Nader entstand (Nagler 1).
