Description
Wolfgang Laib schuf 1975 seinen ersten “Milchstein”. Mit diesen weißen Marmorobjekten wurde er bekannt und sie zählen zu seinen wichtigsten Werken. Der Stein wird hierfür millimetertief fein ausgeschliffen. Mit Milch aufgefüllt, entsteht eine waagrechte, seidig-glänzende Oberfläche. Die kontemplative Anmutung sowie die organischen, in der Natur vorgefundenen Materialien zeichnen Laibs Werk bis zu den aktuellen Installationen mit Blütenstaub aus.
