Description
Inspiriert durch die Illustrationen für die Märchensammlung “Norwegische Volksmärchen” von P. C. Asbjørnsen und J. Moe, die Lyonel Feininger 1908 für den Berliner Verleger Hans Bondy anfertigte, schuf er wohl noch im selben Jahr diese farbenfrohe Darstellung einer von Harlekinen getragenen Sänfte. – Aus einem Skizzenblock, daher linker Rand mit Perforationsleiste. Unter dem Passepartout schwach gebräunt. Rechter Rand mit kurzem Riss und umgeknickten Ecken. Allgemein in gutem und farbfrischem Zustand.
