Description
Der vorliegende Holzschnitt ist ein schönes Beispiel für die Ausdruckskraft der Graphik des Expressionismus. Die “Familie” spiegelt die damalige Sehnsucht Noldes und seiner Weggefährten nach einer neuen Natürlichkeit wider. Die schlichte und ausdrucksstarke Gestaltung der Figuren erinnern an Sinnbilder fremder Kulturen und Völker. Mit Hilfestellung des Holzschnitts offenbart uns Nolde die Familie in ihrem Urzustand. – Stellenweise leicht fleckig, winzige Grifffältchen im Randbereich. Verso am oberen Rand Spuren alter Montage. Kräftiger, tiefschwarzer Druck von schöner Erhaltung.
