Description
Die Szene zeigt die Darstellung im Tempel mit dem knienden alten Simeon vorne links. Er hält den Jesusknaben auf dem Arm, Maria und Josef stehen ruhig und demütig niederblickend vor ihm. Simeon war prophezeit worden, dass er nicht sterben würde, bevor er den Heiland erkannt habe. Die Darstellung ist reich an erzählerischen Details: so schnuppert ein Jagdhund an den beiden Opfertauben in der Hand des Josef, von rechts nähert sich die greise Prophetin Hannah an einem Krückstock. – Umlaufend mit einer aufgelegten Zierleiste in Gold und in Schwarz. In sehr gutem und farbfrischen Zustand.
