Description
Vorliegende Darstellung wiederholt ein heute verlorenes Original David Teniers d. J., das um 1633/1634 datiert wird. Von der Beliebtheit des Motivs zeugen mehrere leicht variierende Gemäldekopien, vgl. die von seinem Schüler Thomas van Apshoven signierte Version (Dorotheum, Auktion, 17.10.2007, Los 440) oder die von Cornelis Mahu, unter der Nummer 227828 im RKD, Den Haag, aufgelistete Darstellung.
