Description
Locker hingeworfene Voralpenstudie von spannungsgeladener Hell- Dunkelmanier und kraftvoller Pastosität. 1851 hatte Spitzweg die Künstlerkolonie im Wald von Fontainebleau besucht. Die dort kennengelernte Plein-Air Malerei, das spontane Auftragen und freie Akzentuieren mit pastosen Malschichten, sollte seine Landschaftsmalerei von nun an maßgeblich beeinflussen.
