Im Herbst 1987 sah Castelli eine Retrospektive der Arbeiten von Alberto Giacometti in der neuen Nationalgalerie in Berlin. Giacomettis Bronzefiguren mit den überlangen und knorpelig modellierten Gliedmaßen, charakteristisch für den Spätstil des Künstlers, faszinierten Castelli. In dieser wulstigen Teufelsfigur mit dem lang gezogenen Körper wird der Einfluss seiner Kunst auf das Formenverständnis Castellis sichtbar. – In sehr gutem Zustand.
