Description

Vorzeichnung für die gleichnamige Lithographie, Bl. 8 der Mappe II, “König Friedrich und sein Kreis”, erschienen im Verlag Fritz Gurlitt, Berlin 1922. Die 48 Lithographien umfassende Serie “Fredericus Rex” entstand 1921 und 1922 und wurde in zwei Mappen veröffentlicht. In ihr zeigt Corinth ein sehr persönliches Bild des preußischen Königs mit seinem Umfeld. – Verso mit einer kleinen Kopfstudie in schwarzer Kreide. In den oberen Ecken Montagereste. In sehr gutem Zustand.
