Der Autodidakt Bühlmann lebte von 1836 bis 1871 in Italien, wo sich seine Palette farbstark erhellte und zahlreiche Ansichten von Capri, Sizilien und Rom entstanden. – Insgesamt etwas angeschmutzt und teils retuschierte Oberflächenerhebungen in der unteren Hälfte.
