Ansprechende Darstellung in veristischer Manier mit grosser Naturnähe gemalt. Rochea coccinea war auf Grund ihrer Exotik im 18. Jahrhundert als Zimmerpflanze besonders beliebt. Sie stammt aus der Familie der südafrikanischen Crassulaceae. Im unteren rechten Rand mit Bleistift von fremder Hand bezeichnet. Im Passepartoutausschnitt schwach gebräunt, sowie vereinzelt leicht fleckig. Im linken Rand mit einem ca. 3 cm langen, hinterlegten Einriss.
