Alte Zuschreibung.
Schöne Arbeit in manieristischer Manier mit überlangen Körperproportionen und zierlichem Kopf. Der Künstler genoss vor allem als Bildnismaler hohes Ansehen und schuf Porträts der bekanntesten Persönlichkeiten seiner Zeit, u.a. des venezianischen Dogen. – Mit kleinen Randmängeln, u.a. einer hinterlegten Fehlstelle am unteren Rand links sowie zwei kleinen Fehlstellen am oberen Rand. Von schönem Gesamteindruck.
Provenienz: Sammlung J.Pz. Zoomen, Amsterdam, , laut eines früheren Besitzers recto unten links mit dem inzwischen vollständig verblassten Sammlerstempel (Lugt 1511).
