Erschienen im Kunstverlag Fingerle, Esslingen. Das der Serigraphie entsprechende Gemälde von 1954 trägt den Titel “Mo (Montaruform)” und entstand als Teil der Montaru-Serie (Beye/Baumeister 1977). Der Name “Montaru” ist eine Erfindung des Künstlers. In einem Brief an Paul Weber, den ehemaligen Direktor des Kaiser-Wilhelm-Museums in Krefeld, erklärt der Künstler seine Assoziationen mit dem Wort: “Mons = Berg, eigentlich fliegender Berg. Aru = phonetischer Klang für die entsprechenden Farben”. – Im Passepartoutausschnitt etwas gebräunt. Leichte Oberflächenkratzer in der schwarzen Partie. Verso umlaufend Klebestreifen. Stellenweise kleine Papierausdünnungen. Allgemein in schönem und farbstarkem Zustand.
