Vollersroda ist eines der vielen thüringischen Dörfer, die Feininger auf seinen Ausflügen rund um Weimar kennenlernte. Das gedrungene Kirchlein mit seinem Fachwerkturm hat er fünf Jahre später in einem Holzschnitt dargestellt (Prasse W 188), der jedoch die Kirche frei stehend und die umgebenden Häuser in viel kleinerem Maßstab zeigt. – Linke Seite gelocht. Am unteren Rand ein kaum merklicher, winziger Riss, sonst sehr gut erhalten.
