Lithographic pencil and blue crayon on cream coloured wove. 1911. C. 11.5 : 19.5 cm. Dated “Dienst d. 18 Apr. 1911” and inscribed with the title and “B (…?)weg” upper right. With the estate stamp on the lower left. Framed.

1908 zieht Feininger nach Berlin-Zehlendorf. Sein neuer Wohnort wird Thema zahlreicher Zeichnungen und auch verschiedener Radierungen. Hier sind es jedoch nicht die Straßen des Stadtteils, sondern es ist die freie Natur mit dem Blick auf den Wannsee, die der Künstler festhält. Im Strich ist dabei noch etwas von dem ornamentalen Schwung sichtbar, der die frühen Werke des Künstlers kennzeichnet. – Linke Seite gelocht. Sehr gut erhalten.
