Dienten die schwarzen Linien in früheren Jahren als klare Formbegrenzungen, Umrahmungen oder als Gitterstrukturen, so gewinnen sie gegen Ende der 70er Jahre eine neue, eigendynamische Rolle. In freien Schwüngen und Gerinseln zucken sie über einen als Fläche sichtbar bleibenden grauen Hintergrund, vor dem zarte Farbwolken schweben. Die luftige Komposition, die sich an einigen Stellen konzentrierend und verdichtend über die gesamte Bildfläche ausbreitet, erhält so eine besondere Heiterkeit und Leichtigkeit. – In perfektem Zustand.
