Description
Qualitätvolle, flüssige Darstellung, die auch feine Details minutiös wiedergibt. Der Maler, der sich auf Jagdszenen und Reitergefechte spezialisiert hatte, gilt als der Lehrer Philips Wouwermans. Wohl aus einem Album, daher mit Einfassungslinien und einer Nummerierung auf der Zierunterlage. Die Autorschaft Verbeecks wurde durch Wilhelm von Bode auf der Passepartoutkartonunterlage bestätigt. – Leicht fleckig und mit zwei restaurierten Einrissen in der linken oberen Ecke. Je eine Papierausdünnung am linken Rand, in der linken unteren Ecke und am oberen Rand rechts. Verso mit Montageresten an oberer Blattkante, sonst schön.
Provenienz: Aus der Sammlung Holtkott, Köln, verso mit dem Stempel (nicht bei Lugt); Sammlung H.W. Campe, Leipzig (Lugt 1391).
